Seoul (Reuters) – North Korea may have fired another missile on Wednesday.
An unknown projectile was fired from an airfield near the capital Pyongyang but apparently failed shortly after takeoff, the South Korean military said. The Japanese state broadcaster NHK, citing circles of the Japanese Ministry of Defense, reported that it may have been a ballistic missile.
On Monday, the United States and South Korea announced that the internationally isolated country had started new tests of ballistic ICBMs. North Korea has fired nine missiles so far this year.
