The team of coach John Heitinga immediately had the upper hand. That also quickly made it 1-0 when Kristian Hlynsson captured the ball, steamed through and hit the crossbar. Daramy was in the right place to hit the rebound. It was the Danish attacker’s first goal for Young Ajax. In the first he was already accurate three times.

Hlynsson made it 2-0 in the 16th minute, but his goal was disallowed for offside. The second of Jong Ajax did come after the break. Daramy wanted to give substitute Sontje Hansen a chance not to be missed, were it not for the fact that Wouter Goes worked the ball into his own goal.

Nice goal Franken

It was still an exciting final phase in Amsterdam, because substitute Bram Franken used a free kick in a wonderful way. The born Amsterdammer shot the ball from the edge of the penalty area into the intersection: 2-1. The Alkmaarders did not come any further, leaving Jong AZ in fifteenth position. As number three in the first division, Jong Ajax has nine points less than leader FC Volendam, which tonight won against Jong FC Utrecht.
