North Holland debutants in Orange handball selection

Handball players Jeromy van der Ban (Aalsmeer), Donny Vink (Aalsmeer) and Evan de Lange (Volendam) are part of the final handball selection for the first time. Staffan Olsson’s team will play a diptych against Croatia in the European Championship qualifying series at the beginning of March.

Vink was already in the pre-selection once before, but then dropped out. For Volendam keeper Evan de Lange, the selection came as quite a surprise. “I’m very curious how it will be. I’m going there without expectations and I’m already grateful that I can train at all,” says De Lange.

Free spots

At the end of January, Aalsmeer handball player Jeffrey Boomhouwer announced that he would stop as an international. Jasper Adams and Iso Sluijters also reported that they would stop at the Orange. For example, some spots were released in the handball selection.

Benghanem / Kooijman / De Knegt

Samir Benghanem (Aalsmeer), René de Knegt (Aalsmeer) and Evert Kooijman (Volendam) have also been selected. They have already come into action for Orange more often.
