A living legend of hill jumping, 51 years old Noriaki Kasai flew through the qualifiers at the Sapporo World Cup.
Kasai participated in the Suurmäki competition qualifying on Friday. He flew 106 meters, with which he took the 45th place. The best 50 made it to Saturday’s competition.
The Swiss pole vaulter was also seen in the qualifiers Simon Ammann42, who jumped to #42.
All three Finnish jumpers also made it through the qualifiers. Antti Aalto was the 23rd Niko Kytösaho 26th and Eetu Nousiainen 31:s.
In January, the Japanese champion participated in three races of the Continental Cup on the HS137 hill. In the games, Kasai finished ninth, 11th and 21st.
