5:37 p.m
All DSV athletes in the top 15
The German athletes are probably too far behind in terms of victory, but good results are definitely possible against a good backdrop at Holmenkollen. Jenny Nowak was best placed after the jump in fifth place. Svenja Würth is sixth. Maria Gerboth finds herself in eighth place, while Nathalie Armbruster is tenth. Ronja Loh takes a good 13th place.
5:34 p.m
Norwegians lead the field
After the jump round, it is the Norwegians who set the tone on the ski jump in Oslo. Mari Leinan Lund delivered a strong jump of 99.5 meters and will go into the five kilometers on Saturday with a 21 second lead over Gyda Westvold Hansen. Ida Marie Hagen is in third place and everything suggests that she will bag her overall victory in the World Cup on Saturday. The first pursuer of the Norwegian trio is Haruka Kasai from Norway.
5:31 p.m
Ida Marie Hagen (NOR)
The final point under the jump round is Ida Marie Hagen, who has a great chance of winning the overall World Cup on Saturday. At 90 meters she can’t come close to her two teammates, but as she is currently third, she is in a good starting position for cross-country skiing.
5:31 p.m
Gyda Westvold Hansen (NOR)
How can Gyda Westvold Hansen counter this? With a really good jump too! She doesn’t reach the distance of Leinan Lund, but at 97 meters she’s also decent. Westvold Hansen is in second place.
5:29 p.m
Mari Leinan Lund (NOR)
Craziness! Mari Leinan Lund is sent on her journey with two fewer hatches and still crashes 99.5 meters into the snow. The Norwegian is now 1:26 minutes ahead of her first pursuer and makes it clear that victory in Oslo will only go to the Norwegians.
5:28 p.m
Haruka Kasai (JPN)
Her twin sister has already managed to get herself into a good position, how can Haruka Kasai present herself now? Really good! She sets the new maximum distance, scores a solid 17 in her posture and takes first place just ahead of Nowak. However, the three top stars of the scene are still at the top…
5:27 p.m
Nathalie Armbruster (GER)
Nathalie Armbruster still had problems with the jump during the training sessions. Can she shake it off now? At least partially. After 89.5 meters you can’t go all the way to the top, but it was definitely an improvement compared to the training sessions. Currently in sixth place and only 28 seconds behind, Armbruster still has every chance in cross-country skiing.
5:27 p.m
Jenny Nowak (GER)
Class! Jenny Nowak can make the next set and sails down to 92.5 meters. There is still room for improvement in terms of attitude, but it is enough to take the lead with 120.3 points and secure a good starting position for cross-country skiing.
5:25 p.m
Lisa Hirner (AUT)
Lisa Hirner had a hard time on the hill during training, but now things are working out better for her. There was another mistake on the take-off table, but with 90.5 meters she was able to move into second place and was only six seconds behind the leader, Würth.
17:24
Lena Brocard (FRA)
Lena Brocard screwed up the timing at the take-off table and then had to correct this mistake in the first few meters. At 85 meters it was still a solid attempt, but certainly not what she had actually imagined.
17:23
Maria Gerboth (GER)
Now it’s time for the next German starter. What can Maria Gerboth achieve on the normal hill? Also a good jump. Like Kasai, she also reaches 89.5 meters. For the wind she gets more additional points, which means her distance is enough to place her in second place behind her teammate.
5:20 p.m
Yuna Kasai (JPN)
It goes into the group of the best ten athletes in the World Cup. This will be opened by Yuna Kasai from the Japanese team. After good training, she is now coping well and can find herself behind Würth and Korhonen at 89.5 meters.
5:19 p.m
Daniela Dejori (ITA)
Daniela Dejori also has problems getting her technique onto the take-off table cleanly and after 81 meters she is far from her current capabilities.
5:18 p.m
Anju Nakamura (JPN)
Nakamura won’t be able to compete for victory on Saturday either. The Japanese woman has far too many technical problems at the take-off table, which then cost her speed and distance down below. At 82 meters, she also has to be over a minute behind Würth.
5:17 p.m
Annika Malacinski (USA)
Annika Malacinski has made a big leap this season, but she once again has to rely on her running form. With 83.5 meters, she ranks sixth in the rankings.
5:16 p.m
Marte Leinan Lund (NOR)
Marte Leinan Lund cannot attack the distance in its current form from the hill, but can certainly be personally satisfied with her performance. With 81 meters she delivers a stable attempt on the home hill.
5:15 p.m
Svenja Würth (GER)
Is the leadership changing now? Svenja Würth is one of the best jumpers in the track and shows that she can also cope well on the hill in Oslo. After 92 meters Würth is the new leader and will now eagerly wait to see where she will end up at the end of the round.
5:14 p.m
Annalena Slamik (AUT)
Annalena Slamik cannot endanger the lead of the young athlete from Finland and has to land in the snow at 87 meters. With 107.7 points and 26 seconds behind, that means second place.
5:13 p.m
Minja Korhonen (FIN)
Minja Korhonen competed in her last World Cup competition in January and then focused on the highlights in the junior division. On her return to the World Cup she is still in good shape and with 89.5 meters she now confidently takes the lead ahead of DSV athlete Loh.
5:12 p.m
Veronica Gianmoena (ITA)
Can Veronica Gianmoena step up front now? Neither. The Italian is again struggling enormously with her technique, has problems especially from the jump and lands too early after 78.5 meters to play a big role.
5:10 p.m
Joanna Kil (POL)
Joanna Kil doesn’t do much either and with a jump that is much too steep and a lot of caution on the take-off table, she also goes way back at 66.5 meters.
5:10 p.m
Alexa Brabec (USA)
Alexa Brabec caused a stir at the Junior World Championships and took home the silver medal. The American has an even harder time on the big stage and has to land at 74.5 meters today.
5:08 p.m
Claudia Purker (AUT)
Claudia Purker is also disappointed. The Austrian is usually better on the hill, but now she just wants too much. She is in too much of a hurry at the take-off table and the jump is over at just 75 meters.
5:07 p.m
Silva Verbic (SLO)
Silva Verbic doesn’t get the timing at all on the take-off table and from that moment on, the Slovenian no longer has the opportunity to achieve great distance. At 77 meters she will have to start the cross-country skiing with a big gap.
5:06 p.m
Hanna Midtsundstad (NOR)
No chance for Hanna Midtsundstad. After a fall, the Norwegian simply lacked confidence on the hill and after a restless jump on 57.5 meters she was probably last again. For them, the preparation for 2025 should be about finding confidence again, because Midtsundstad can run.
5:05 p.m
Ronja Loh (GER)
Ronja Loh is one of many athletes in today’s starting field for whom the Junior World Championships was the big highlight this year. She has already shown herself in training and is now delivering a solid jump of 87.5 meters. This means that Loh initially takes the lead.
5:04 p.m
Heta Hirvonen (FIN)
Heta Hirvonen copes a little better and the Finn, who appeared in the World Cup for the first time this year, reaches a good 82.5 meters. This puts her in second place for the moment.
5:04 p.m
Tereza Koldovská (CZE)
Tereza Koldovská covers her face with her hands. The young athlete also doesn’t succeed in her third jump today. So it’s time to land again on the stem at 67 meters.
5:02 p.m
Greta Pinzani (ITA)
The Italian cannot provide the first big jump either. She approaches things a little cautiously and has to find herself in last place after 75.5 meters. There are already 1:44 minutes missing from the front.
5:02 p.m
Mille Marie Hagen (NOR)
Mille Marie Hagen is known as a good runner, but has even greater difficulties on the hill. This is evident again now and with lots of arm movements she doesn’t reach more than 77 meters in the end.
5:02 p.m
Ema Volavsek (SLO)
Ema Volavsek is the next athlete to get along better and can show the 87.5 meters. But in the end that probably won’t be enough to make it to the top. The top stars will certainly jump out of low gates later.
5:00 p.m
Nora Helene Evans (NOR)
It is prepared for the jump passage. Nora Helene Evans is the first of 30 athletes to set off. With a strong tailwind, the junior reaches 75 meters.
16:54
Norwegians dominate training
Before the actual competition, training took place over the hill today. There were no big surprises and the Norwegians pulled away from the field on their home hill. Mari Leinan Lund won the rounds ahead of Westvold Hansen and Hagen.
4:45 p.m
Trio from Austria
In the Austrian team, the well-known trio will be at the start in Oslo, from which Lisa Hirner in particular can hope for good results. For Annalena Slamik and Claudia Purker, the goal is likely to be in the top ten.
16:41
Five DSV starters
In addition to Nathalie Armbruster, the DSV team is competing in Oslo with four other athletes. Jenny Nowak and Maria Gerboth should also hope for good individual results from them. For Svenja Würth, it’s about getting closer to cross-country skiing again after her hand injury. The team is completed by Ronja Loh, who only earned her starting place with her bronze medal at the Junior World Championships.
16:34
The situation in the World Cup
The Nordic Combined is already entering the home straight. There are only two competitions left for the athletes: Oslo and Trondheim. The yellow jersey continues to be worn by Ida Marie Hagen, who, with a lead of 120 points, has a good chance of ensuring the decision in the duel with teammate Gyda Westvold Hansen in Oslo. In third place is Mari Leinan Lund, another Norwegian starter. The best German is Nathalie Armbruster in fifth place. Lisa Hirner from Austria is in seventh place overall.
4:30 p.m
Long wait until cross-country skiing
A curious competition program awaits the Nordic combined athletes in the next few days. The athletes are scheduled to complete the jump on Thursday, but the five kilometers will not be run until Saturday afternoon. The reason is the different jumps that are used. The women jump on the small Midtstubakken, while the men jump on a large hill on the legendary Holmenkollen. This involves a conversion of measurement and camera technology. But since we want to offer women a big stage at least in cross-country skiing, it will only take place on Saturday, sandwiched between the legendary 50s for special cross-country skiers and the cross-country skiing for combined skiers.
Welcome!
Hello and welcome to the Oslo Women’s Nordic Combined! The live ticker begins in good time before the start of the competition.
