Anju Nakamura (JPN)
Ten athletes are still on top. The start of this group is made by Anju Nakamura, whose stronger tend to be in cross-country skiing. Despite catching a nice wind from the front, she can’t get more than 81 meters into the snow. As a result, their backlog is already too big to compete for the top places.
09:15
Veronica Gianmoena (ITA)
Veronica Gianmoena has more difficulties in making her jump clean when there is more tailwind and with 81 meters it will be in the middle field again today.
09:14
Annalena Slamik (AUT)
Annalena Slamik is the next athlete on the small Austrian team. Würth cannot put pressure on her either, but she can still be satisfied. With 90.5 meters, the first place is third.
09:13
Marte Leinan Lund (NOR)
Marte Leinan Lund was really good last winter, so far this season it doesn’t quite add up and she’s going to be a big deficit again today. After 80.5 meters, Würth is more than two minutes away.
09:12
Svenja Würth (GER)
Can Svenja Würth now ensure a change at the top? So far she has been doing really well on the hill and the trainer decides to stay in gate 22. And then it goes really far down! Würth burns down the 97 meters and is 43 seconds ahead of Leinan Lund.
09:11
Maria Gerboth (GER)
Maria Gerboth should not be completely satisfied with her jump either. She makes her attempt a bit too steep and thus misses the meter. After 83.5 meters she is already one minute behind the current leader.
09:10
Sana Azegami (JPN)
After the first athletes were able to enjoy the updraft, the combined athletes are now accompanied by a tailwind. Sana Azegami can’t do much with it and after a restless flight it’s already over at 77.5 meters.
09:09
Cindy Haasch (GER)
The next DSV starter is already on track. The tailwind has increased again and after unfortunately not much fits together in flight, only 81 meters come out for them. She finds herself between her teammates Burger and Maurus in fourth place.
09:08
Magdalena Burger (GER)
Magdalena Burger jumps again with a more hatch, but cannot endanger Lund. With 86 meters she will initially have to find herself in third place. 54 seconds are missing in the direction of Leinan Lund.
09:07
Mari Leinan Lund (NOR)
The coaches decide to send their athlete over the hill with one less gate. After her pelvic injury, this is a safety measure that has already been adopted in recent competitions. Still, Lund is doing really well and she can go 93.5 meters. The landing shows, however, that she still has work to do there to bring in safety.
09:05
Mille-Marie Hagen (NOR)
Mille Marie Hagen can’t get much out of it either and she’s already over before the K-point of the hill when she comes too steeply away from the take-off table. She shakes her head in disappointment. The demands were different.
09:04
Daniela Dejori (ITA)
Daniela Dejori doesn’t have luck on her side either and has to cross the facility if there is a tailwind and she doesn’t go far down the hill afterwards either. It’s already over after 76 meters and she too will have to find herself far behind Purker.
09:03
Annika Malacinski (USA)
After the athletes had a slight updraft in front of her, Annika Malacinski is now dealing with a slight tailwind. When the jump doesn’t fit, it’s already 74 meters to land.
09:03
Claudia Purker (AUT)
Claudia Purker puts a few more meters on the slope and with a calm flight the Austrian can manage the 89.5 meters. For the grades there are 17 values on top. With a lead of more than a minute, it goes to the top.
09:02
Sophia Maurus (GER)
With Sophia Maurus it is already the first athlete from the German team. She has to attack a lot in the air, but can surpass Verbic’s distance of 82.5 meters.
09:00
Silva Verbic (SLO)
Silva Verbic from Slovenia opens the ski jumping round on the Langenwald ski jump. From gate 22 they go down to 77 meters with a slight updraft. How far it can really go will be shown with start number seven, then it is Mari Leinan Lund’s turn.
08:57
That’s how the test went
In the rehearsal, Gyda Westvold Hansen underscored her role as the top favourite. With 97.5 meters and two gates less, Nathalie Armbruster confidently prevailed. Svenja Würth finished the round in third place. Mari Leinan Lund was third.
08:54
Who else do you need to watch out for?
In addition to Westvold Hansen and the DSV and ÖSV athletes, Annika Sieff has to be looked out for again. The Italian won gold at the Junior World Championships and also showed strong results in the World Cup. You can also be curious about Ida Marie Hagen, who has her strengths especially in the cross-country ski run. If the Norwegian can get over the hill well, she is definitely a fire hazard.
08:47
Three Austrians
The Austrians can also look back on good competitions at the Junior World Championships. Lisa Hirner was able to secure the bronze medal in the individual and won gold in the mixed team together with Annalena Slamik. Next to them is Claudia Purker in Schonach.
08:40
Armbruster leads the DSV team
The German team is led by Nathalie Armbruster, who has had a successful season and is currently second in the overall World Cup. Armbruster arrives with two silver medals, which she was able to collect at the Junior World Championships in Canada, and she probably has big plans for the home game as well. Jenny Nowak is back in the team after a break due to illness. Svenja Würth, Maria Gerboth, Cindy Haasch, Magdalena Burger and Sophia Maurus complete the team.
08:34
Westvold Hansen the favourite
Of course, the clear favorite is again Gyda Westvold Hansen, who won all the World Cups this winter and is about to bag her second overall World Cup early. With three remaining competitions, the Norwegian is 250 points ahead of her first competitor in the overall standings.
08:30
Schonach is waiting for the women
