10:10
Andreas Skoglund (NOR)
Andreas Skoglund does not come off the table as cleanly as his compatriot before and has to be content with 92 meters.
10:08
Einar Luras Oftebro (NOR)
Slowly but surely the jumpers are coming, who can provide top distances here. Einar Lurås Oftebro, like Watabe and Weber, lands at 95 meters and goes on the three.
10:07
Aaron Kostner (ITA)
Similar to Gerard before him, Aaron Kostner doesn’t really come off the hill and only manages 86.5 meters.
10:06
Antoine Gerard (FRA)
Antoine Gerard is also supported very loudly, but has to go down again after 87 meters and wonders what was going on. The Frenchman is absolutely not satisfied.
10:05
Raffaele Buzzi (ITA)
Raffaele Buzzi has to be content with 89 meters and doesn’t really know what to make of it.
10:04
Terence Weber (GER)
Terence Weber could still use a good result to qualify for the World Cup. “Ziiiiiieh” resounds from the ranks and Weber does that too! 95 meters for the German, who lines up behind Watabe on the second.
10:03
Samuel Costa (ITA)
Samuel Costa lands at 88.5 meters after an unsafe jump.
10:02 a.m
Akito Watabe (JPN)
leadership change! Akito Watabe lets his class flash again and pulls the flight to 95 meters. The grades are better than Mach and the Japanese takes the lead.
10:01 a.m
Kasper Moen Flatla (NOR)
Kasper Moen Flatla has what it takes to beat Mach’s top distance but didn’t have his best jump today. 92.5 meters initially means third place for the Norwegian.
10:00 a.m
Alessandro Pittin (ITA)
The jumps are currently all similar. At first it goes up high, but without wind support it goes down again very quickly. 90 meters for Alessandro Pittin.
09:59
Sora Yachi (JPN)
Sora Yachi also has good height, but starts to row towards the end and lands a bit uncontrolled at 90 meters.
09:58
Wendelin Thannheimer (GER)
It’s Wendelin Thannheimer’s turn! The Allgäuer gets away properly, stands high in the air, but then goes down quite abruptly. 90.5 meters for Thannheimer.
09:58
Fabio Obermeyr (AUT)
Fabio Obermeyr doesn’t hit the beam well and has to correct it before he can fly. With 90 meters he gets the best out of it.
09:56
Manuel Einkemmer (AUT)
Manuel Einkemmer has not been in the World Cup that often, but he shows a decent jump and comes in second with 93.5 meters.
09:56
Yuya Yamamoto (JPN)
The younger of the two Yamamoto brothers sails at 91 meters. We can expect more from his brother later.
09:54
Stephen Schumann (USA)
Stephen Schumann just shakes his head on the ground. Nothing went right and after 83 meters it was over.
09:53
Ondrej Pažout (CZE)
With absolutely no wind Ondřej Pažout jumps to 91.5 meters. Solid, but nothing more. The facial expression of the former junior world champion also seems to say so.
09:52
Florian Kolb (AUT)
Austria is also getting started. However, Florian Kolb lacks the height to match Mach’s distance and has to be content with fourth place.
09:51
David Mach (GER)
The first German is in the air! David Mach gets the jump off well and lets the noisy spectators carry him to 95.5 meters. Guide!
09:50
Kodai Kimura (JPN)
A technically flawless jump by Kodai Kimura ends after 89 meters.
09:50
Gael Blondeau (FRA)
The French equalizes Malacinski’s top distance, but due to slightly worse grades he ranks behind the US boy.
09:49
Arttu Makiaho (FIN)
Better! Arttu Mäkiaho jumps out to 89 meters and takes second place.
09:48
Grant Andrews (USA)
The next American can’t do quite as well as his compatriot before. Grant Andrews is clearly not satisfied with his 86 meters and shakes his head.
09:47
Perttu Reponen (FIN)
Perttu Reponen doesn’t hit the take-off that well and lands much earlier than Malacinski before.
09:46
Niklas Malacinski (USA)
Niklas Malacinski is the first to fall from the Hill Size 100 ski jump in Schonach. The American lands the first next of the day with 92.5 meters.
09:45
Good conditions
Dinner is served. In glorious weather and with absolutely no wind, the first combined athletes get ready for the run on the hill.
09:35
Seven Austrians
Just like Germany, Austria is sending a total of seven athletes into today’s competition. Of course, hopes rest primarily on Johannes Lamparter, but Mario Seidl, Lukas Greiderer and Martin Fritz have also achieved good results this winter. The team is completed by Fabio Obermeyr, Manuel Einkemmer and Florian Kolb. Franz-Josef Rehrl and Stefan and Thomas Rettenegger skip the World Cup dress rehearsal.
09:29
German trio missing
The DSV is not at full strength in Schonach. Vinzenz Geiger, Eric Frenzel and Johannes Rydzek are doing without the World Cup dress rehearsal and are training individually. The team is led by Julian Schmid and Manuel Faißt, but Fabian Rießle, Jakob Lange and Terence Weber also want to attack again and recommend themselves for the World Cup squad. In addition, there are two young German jumpers, David Mach and Wendelin Thannheimer.
09:17
Excitement in the overall World Cup
World champion Johannes Lamparter from Austria is currently ahead in the overall World Cup with 1045 points, but Julian Schmid (944) is hot on his heels after his triumph in Oberstdorf. The two are among the top favorites today, as is third-placed Jens Lurås Oftebro from Norway, who has also triumphed twice this winter. His compatriot Jarl Magnus Riiber, on the other hand, is still on a break.
Welcome
Hello and welcome to the Nordic Combined World Cup weekend in Schonach! Two competitions are still to come before the World Championships in Planica, the first starts today at 9:45 a.m.!
