Combiner Vinzenz Geiger had to narrowly admit defeat to dominator Jarl Magnus Riiber in the 10 kilometer mass start race. Johannes Rydzek also showed a strong race in third place. The decision will be made at the ski jump from 3 p.m.

Riiber and Geiger fought for the lead on equal terms. In the final stretch, the Norwegian made it clear that victory would only come through him. He overtook the 26-year-old from Oberstdorf (+1.7s) and won the first half of the competition.

Johannes Rydzek also secured an excellent starting position for the jump in third place, 1.8 seconds behind. Manuel Faißt was sixth, 2.8 seconds behind. Wendelin Thannheimer (+11.9s) and Julian Schmid (12.8s) finished in 13th and 14th place. The currently best German jumpers David Mach and Terence Weber follow in positions 22 and 23.
