Noppert spoils darts fans at World Matchplay with ‘no look throw’ for 180 | Darts

Noppert once pulled out with a phenomenal 180. When throwing his third dart, he didn’t even look anymore. A small stab at Gurney, who previously experimented a few times with a no look throw.

Noppert will face compatriot Dirk van Duijvenbode in the quarterfinals. Van Duijvenbode started very strong in the last match in the second round and came against Michael Smith at 4-0. The Englishman fought back into the game to 4-3, but then the South Hollander took the initiative again. At 10-7 he used his third match dart.

A day earlier, Michael van Gerwen already qualified for the quarterfinals. The Dutchman, who is placed fourth at the tournament in Blackpool, won 11-5 against Joe Cullen in the second round. Van Gerwen is the only Dutch darts player to win the World Matchplay. He did that in 2015 and in 2016.
