The idea was initiated by Janny Koerts, she is a volunteer at De Witte Anjer. Since 2019, this project has been committed to, among other things, encourage municipalities to set up a flower bed with White Carnations. These flowers have been introduced since 2005 as an expression of recognition and appreciation for Dutch veterans.
