The museum in Den Bosch has been criticized for the arrangement that has been made with De Mooij. The province and the municipality of Den Bosch, which subsidize the museum, did not accept that this arrangement was paid from a fund of the museum, which is intended, among other things, for the purchase of art.
In 2021, 750,000 euros were withdrawn from the fund without an explanation, it writes the newspaper based on our own research. As a result of the protest from the province and municipality, the museum must now use the general reserve, the equity capital, for the amount of the scheme.
