Non-racist is beautiful, anti-racist is better

The Anti-Racism Handbook is a guide to and about racism. Chanel Matil Lodik, founder of the platform ‘More color in the media’, uses figures and practical examples to explain how institutional racism works in, for example, care (black women are three times as likely to die during or after pregnancy as white women) and the media (only 9 percent of people in the media are people of color); what is interpersonal racism, such as micro-aggression or cultural appropriation; and what racism against specific groups looks like, such as anti-Asian racism and Muslim hatred. The topics in the instructive and beautifully designed book are interspersed with the author’s personal experiences.
