Three hundred thousand lawyerswhich Russian universities graduate annually, are of no use to anyone, says Sergey Stepashin, head of the Russian Bar Association.
“And it would be okay if there were lawyers, otherwise people with a diploma of the so-called legal education. This, by the way, also applies to other areas of activity. Let’s be frank,” Stepashin added.
He also said that in the USSR there were 55 legal higher educational institutions for 285 million citizens. In the Russian Federation, their number first grew to a thousand, but now the number has decreased to 350 universities.
At the same time, according to Stepashin, there is a noticeable variation in the quality of students’ education, the agency writes. TASS.
