Noa Lang and Justin Kluivert are open to returning to the Netherlands: ‘Apparently they don’t sell well in Belgium’ | Sport

Noa Lang is still under contract with Club Brugge until mid-2025, but the 23-year-old attacker is keeping all options open for this summer. Even a return to the premier league is an option. ,,I let everything come to me, bro. I just became a father, I now look at transfers differently,” he says in the podcast Kick ‘t with from Ziggo Sport.

Lang first left Ajax on a rental basis in 2020 to Club Brugge, which took him over for 6 million euros in 2021. After three years in Belgium, Lang has two championships and 125 games, in which he scored 38 goals and 34 assists.

Still, clubs from Europe’s top leagues don’t seem to be really after Lang, much to his own disappointment. “We will see if anything moves. I let everything come to me, bro. You should always keep all options open. Even a return to the Netherlands is possible. At first I firmly said no to that, but I just became a father. And that makes me look at transfers differently,” says Lang, who is part of the selection of the Orange for the Final Four in the Nations League.

“Playing football in the Netherlands one or two years ago, that wouldn’t hurt. Look at what I’ve done at Club Brugge over the past three seasons. If that was at Ajax or PSV, I would now be at a European top club. Apparently they don’t sell well in Belgium. It is also tougher to play football than in the premier league, only batters.”

Justin Kluivert is also open to a return to the Netherlands. “I learned from last year that you shouldn’t keep doors closed. I’m not ruling anything out. I’m not eager to come to the Netherlands, but you have good clubs here that play in Europe,” says Kluivert, who was loaned out to Valencia by AS Roma this season. Kluivert (24) was good for number 16 in La Liga. eight goals and two assists in 29 games.

Peter Bosz, who made Kluivert’s debut at Ajax in January 2017, will now become PSV’s trainer. ,,Peter Bosz is a top coach, he brought me and gave it to me. I’ve had a lot of trainers before, but I really appreciate him. I have a lot of respect for him and how he works.”

Kluivert is still under contract with AS Roma until mid-2025, which took him over from Ajax in 2018 for 17.25 million euros. The wing attacker was previously also rented out to RB Leipzig and OGC Nice. In the plans of Roma coach José Mourinho, who plays without wing attackers, he no longer seems to be present.
