Warm Rooms
Do the Warm Rooms of the Salvation Army mean anything to you yet? These are places throughout the Netherlands, including Zoetermeer, where people can enter for free to come together. In Zoetermeer, such a Warm Room can be found in the main library and in the neighborhood library in Rokkeveen, among other places.
Play a game at the Warm Room
The Salvation Army started this because of the high energy bills. The initiators were afraid that people would no longer dare to turn on their heating because of the costs. That is why the Warm Rooms were created. One of the spokespersons said: “You can then enjoy a nice cup of coffee, have a chat, but also just study or work. No matter why you come, we want to help and bring people together.” In other words: even if you feel the need for social contact, but have no one around you, you can visit Bij Bosschardt at Justus van Effenhove 37.
