No world title for kickboxer Overmeer after first defeat at Glory

Jay Overmeer failed to win the most important game of his career. The kickboxer from Badhoevedorp lost the fight for the welterweight world title to defending champion Endy Semeleer during Collision 5 in Rotterdam. It was Overmeer’s first defeat at Glory.

Semeleer was declared the winner of the fight by unanimous decision. The Curaçaoan has been the world champion in the welterweight weight class since June 2022. Due to Overmeer’s defeat, Rico Verhoeven is currently the only Dutch world champion at Glory.
