No trains ran between Hoogeveen and Beilen for a large part of the evening due to a signal and level crossing failure at the track on the Oosterseveldweg near Wijster. The NS expects the problems to continue until at least 5 a.m. on Tuesday morning.
Travelers heading to Assen or Groningen are advised to travel via Leeuwarden. The same applies to travelers who want to go to the South from Assen or Groningen.
