The theft was discovered at 6 p.m. Monday. Thieves tried to steal copper in several places and the damage is considerable.
There will be no rail traffic between Charleroi and Walcourt on Monday evening. Trains do run between Walcourt and Couvin. Train traffic between Charleroi and Walcourt may not resume at the earliest on Tuesday morning.
