There have been no trains running on the high-speed line between Rotterdam and Breda since half past seven on Friday morning. There are also no trains running between Dordrecht and Breda. A railway worker smelled a strange odor as a freight train passed by. The outage is expected to last until a quarter to ten.
That train is now stationary on the track, says ProRail. The fire brigade and incident response investigated the train, but did not measure anything unusual. It is expected that there will be no leakage.
The inspectorate will check whether they can find anything else. “If they do not detect anything, train traffic will be restarted,” says a spokesperson.
