Permanent VAT reduction and introduction of excise duties almost complete
The VAT on gas and electricity will no longer be increased to 21 percent, but will remain at 6 percent. That has been agreed by the federal core cabinet. Ministers are optimistic that the excise system will be knocked down during the budget negotiations. This was announced by the Belga news agency on Monday in government circles.
