No expense spared to travel
The survey confirms it “An Economic Portrait of the Traveler” created by Tripadvisor, one of the largest review platforms for hotels, restaurants and everything related to travel.
The study involved almost 5 thousand people from six countriesUS, UK, Japan, Singapore, India and Australia.
Savings are made on other items
From the interviews it emerged that, after and despite years of stops and restrictions, the wanderlust hasn’t faded at all and, on the contrary, it continues to be very strong. Enough to sacrifice other items of expenditure, but not that one.
19% of the budget goes to travel
THE travelers spendin fact, in this kind of business about 19% of its budget, much more than what they establish for anything else. Such as shopping (18%), working at home (14%) or entertainment such as cinemas, theatres, concerts and shows (13%). The same amount is made available only for dining in restaurants or clubs.
Wide sleeve also on shopping at the destination
The report highlights how, for the majority, travel is not a negotiable expense and that even once at their destination, they’re generally quick to indulge the luxury of spending a little more to have memories that will last forever. Shopping at destination is, in fact, a fundamental part of the expenses to be taken into account: just think that only 4% said they didn’t buy anything during the holidays.
Price increases don’t scare you
For the voice “additional costs“, the majority of which are dedicated to clothing suitable for the destination, technical equipment (89%) and electronic devices (62%). which are repeated whenever there is a new departure in sight. In short, in order not to give up holidays and weekends away from home, travelers will make some extra sacrifices on other budget items. But there’s no question of leaving.
