No return action? Ex-Bayern will be out for weeks
Former Bayern striker Joshua Zirkzee was injured in his club FC Bologna’s Serie A game against Inter Milan at the weekend. Now there is certainty about how long he will be out. “The examinations that Joshua Zirkzee underwent this morning revealed a first-degree injury to his left hamstring, which is expected to last three to four weeks,” the club said.
This could also be relevant for Bavaria. Because the record champions have a right to buy back the Dutchman, who moved to Bologna for 8.5 million euros in the summer of 2022.
Due to Zirkzee’s good performance this season, Bayern’s supervisory board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, among others, speculated about a return campaign for the 22-year-old in an interview with the Italian “Gazzetta dello Sport” during the week. This season Zirkzee scored ten goals in 27 league games for Bologna.
Bayern star comments on his future
Dayot Upamecano is not thinking about saying goodbye to FC Bayern next summer. “No, not at all,” said the French central defender to “Kicker”. “I have a contract until 2026, I feel good – in the club and with my teammates. I want to stay here at FC Bayern and will keep pushing.”
The German record champions probably want to initiate a personnel change in the squad in the summer. Eric Dier and Matthijs de Ligt were recently placed in the center of defense, while Upamecano was only on the bench in the recent 8-1 win against FSV Mainz 05. The 25-year-old takes it easy that there is speculation about his future.
“That’s football,” said the France international. There have not yet been any discussions with the club bosses about his future.
Consultant confirms: Leverkusen star is going back to Munich
Josip Stanišić is currently on loan at Bayer Leverkusen from FC Bayern. With the “Werkself” he is currently at the top of the Bundesliga table and could win the championship title with them this season ahead of Munich. But from summer onwards the Croatian will probably play for his parent club again. His advisor Dieter Hoeneß now confirmed this to “Bild”.
“He will return again. He still has a contract until 2026,” said the brother of Bavaria’s honorary president Uli Hoeneß. “There is no clause and no purchase option for Bayer Leverkusen, so he will be back at FC Bayern in the summer.”
Bayern star talks about Instagram post
Leon Goretzka and the secret behind his Instagram post at the end of last week: Late in the evening he posted a picture with a time: “10:46 p.m. Late night session.” The Bayern star and a friend can be seen doing sports and showing off their muscles.
On the right of the picture you can see a Paris St. Germain jersey placed over a punching bag. Many people wondered who the shirt was from. On Saturday after the 8-1 win against Mainz, Goretzka revealed the secret.
