A new The Chemical Brothers single was released today, Friday. “No Reason” is the name of the track for which the duo’s longtime creative partners Adam Smith and Marcus Lyall (Smith & Lyall) produced a video. Both have been responsible for the performance of Tom Rowland and Ed Simon for 25 years. This time they delivered the “Neon Marching Band”, and the big beat pioneers from Manchester don’t just stay true to themselves visually.

It’s her first standalone new track since 2021’s The Darkness That You Fear and Work Energy Principle. Meanwhile, a remaster was released for the 25th anniversary of their second album DIG YOUR OWN HOLE, including alternative mixes of some tracks and previously unknown demos.

It’s not clear if the new song is part of the work on the follow-up to GEOGRAPHY, which won the 2020 Grammy for Best Dance/Electronic Album.

The duo is currently playing shows in South America. In 2023 they will also be performing at a number of European festivals between May and September. They’re scheduled for April at this year’s Coachella. Any dates in Germany have not yet been set.
