NAC still has no new owner, but it does have a new striker. Jort van der Sande will play for the Breda club from next season, whose shares have been for sale since June last year. Van der Sande (26), a real center striker, comes over from FC Eindhoven.
Jort van der Sande signs a two-year contract in Breda, with an option for another year. “I think it will take some getting used to here”, the player says about his transition from FC Eindhoven to NAC. “You play in Breda for a huge fanatic audience and a huge following. But I think this will be a fantastic experience and that I will play with great pleasure.”
Work Ethics and Scoring Ability
With a third place, FC Eindhoven is doing significantly better this season than NAC, which occupies the disappointing eighth place. His performances in Eindhoven have therefore earned him the transfer to Breda.
“Jort is a type of player who fits well with NAC”, says trainer Edwin de Graaf, who does not yet know whether he will also be working in Breda next season. He has a good work ethic and couples this with scoring ability. This will add character to the squad.”
