No new contract for Sebastian Andersson

Bundesliga club 1. FC Köln and striker Sebastian Andersson go their separate ways.

As the Cologne-based company announced, the attacker’s contract, which expires in the summer, will not be extended. The Sweden international switched from Union Berlin to FC in September 2020, for whom he made 47 appearances and scored eight goals.

Numerous injuries had repeatedly thrown the 31-year-old back in the fight for a regular place. He scored probably the most important two goals for Cologne at the end of May 2021 in a 5-1 win in the relegation second leg at Holstein Kiel. The Bundesliga Eleventh left open which club Andersson will play for in the future.
