No Nations League for Tijjani Reijnders and Daley Blind

Annoying news for Daley Blind and Tijjani Reijnders. They have dropped out for the final selection of the Orange for the Nations League. National coach Ronald Koeman did put them on the stand-by list, should other players drop out.

Tijjani Reijnders reported to the Dutch national team for the first time this Monday. The 24-year-old midfielder had a very strong season at AZ last season. He played everything and scored seven goals in all competitions. It was less prosperous this football year with Daley Blind. The 101-time international made the step from Ajax to Bayern Munich during the winter break, but in South Germany the Amsterdammer mainly sat on the bench.

The KNVB announces that Blind and Reijnders will remain with the group until the match against Croatia. On Wednesday, June 14, the Dutch will play in the semi-finals in De Kuip against the Eastern European country. Spain and Italy will face each other in the other semi-final in Enschede. The battle for third place will take place on Sunday and the final will also be scheduled.
