From Thursday, the legal shield for poultry will lapse in Belgium, reports the Federal Agency for the Safety of the Food Chain (FAVV). Poultry farmers no longer have to keep their birds inside or to shield their chicken runs with nets. Nevertheless, the agency remains careful and recommends that it avoids contact between poultry and wild birds as much as possible.
