‘No longer together in one car’

Nick & Simon were caught by a camera crew from Shownieuws during their performance at the ZAND festival in Almere. “They don’t give each other a glance and now drive separately from each other.”

Nick Schilder and Simon Keizer went on vacation for a month and had their first performance together yesterday. They were together at the ZAND festival in Almere, where camera crews from RTL Boulevard and Shownieuws were also present. They kept a close eye on the duo and saw that it does indeed seem like a mess between the men.

Apart from each other

Private boss Evert Sankrediets tells in Shownieuws that the gentlemen no longer drive to their performances together in one car, as they have done for years. “Nick was in a traffic jam on the A6 and Simon was on time, so that gives the impression that they no longer go to a performance with one car.”

That is of course very strange, says Evert. “In a time of nitrogen crisis and both having to come from Volendam and go to Almere, you would think: they do carpool. No, they don’t, because yes, the atmosphere between the gentlemen – we had suspected for a while – is not very nice. You also notice that on stage.”

Not worth a look

What did the Shownieuws team see there? “Our reporter who was there says: ‘They just don’t look worthy of each other, it seems.’ If you start paying attention, it probably hasn’t been noticed for a long time, but now that we know that they’re breaking up, it’s clear that Nick & Simon have had their day together.”

According to Evert, it is really more than speculation. “If they were just buttering up, they’d be laughing next to each other on stage and they’re not doing that. If you pay attention to that, you can also see that the cake is a bit out.”

Nick & Simon shut up

Is the break between Nick & Simon really that certain? “Yeah, we know for sure, they’ll make that official at the end of the month.”

The gentlemen themselves refuse to talk to the media. “We wanted to ask them today, but they are not speaking to anyone. They have a press stop until they are guests at Eva Jinek, but what they are going to say there already seems clear to me.”

No eye contact

Patty Brard thinks that Nick & Simon also behaved very strangely on Friday in the SBS 6 show I Want Your Song. “It seemed like they weren’t making eye contact with each other and Nick was deciding everything. He also decided which song it would be. I also thought it was a very crazy song from the choice they had and I was not the only one, because all of Twitter went wild.”

Did RTL Boulevard actually manage to ask the duo something during their performance in Almere? “They wouldn’t say anything at all,” said Frank Dane.
