The fight against drug crime will become a new competence of State Security (VSSE). “Because narcoterrorism, like other terrorist organizations, tries to undermine the rule of law,” said Justice Minister Vincent Van Quickenborne, who has just returned from the safehouse after serious threats from the drug environment. “We learn from the drug files that corruption does not only occur among customs officers, but possibly also among law enforcement officers or lawyers.”
