No Knokke Hippique this year: “Terrain not free”

A hotel and a residential project may be built on the site. That place may no longer be free this summer to receive 40,000 visitors.

“It was an event where a very international audience came to watch and also to participate. Unfortunately we don’t have that this year. We have been in consultation with the organizers. We have a good relationship with each other, but I think we have to look at 2024 to find a good long-term solution,” says Astrid Mestdach, alderman for events in Knokke-Heist.

“Preparing 2024 edition”

So not one year. The website of Knokke Hippique now states that they are already preparing the 2024 edition, but it is not yet clear where. The international jumping event will therefore not disappear permanently from the Knokke-Heist summer agenda.
