Let’s be honest: Who of us still uses Facebook these days? Trettmann probably thought so too and therefore started a test to check whether the platform, which had been declared dead, still works. The rapper wrote: “Anyone else on FB? Test: Album almost ready. No joke.”
Test passed, shall we say. The reactions show that part of his fan community has apparently remained loyal to him on Facebook. The album announcement post has nearly 7,000 likes as of this writing. Trettmann added in another comment: “Please tell your friends on Instagram and TikTok. Thank you.” In the meantime, that doesn’t seem to be necessary anymore. Because the rapper also posted the message on his Instagram profile. A release date is not yet known.
Most recently, Trettmann collaborated with the producer duo KitschKrieg on their 2020 KITSCHKRIEG album. In this year’s summer festival, the rapper will headline at Rock am Ring, Sputnik Spring Break and the Deichbrand Festival, among others. His album #DIY reached gold status in 2017, the successor TRETTMANN was released in 2019 and made it to number 2 in the German album charts.
