The midwives at AZ Groeninge have already delivered 1,735 babies this year, but the Christmas children are extra special. Lisa Vermeersch and Sabrine Defoort, midwives: “Once you have left home, it is indeed very special to work on such a day. People usually think so too. It’s also a different atmosphere. People usually think that’s special. Some say ‘We would rather not have had a Christmas child’, but usually they still like that.”
The date is easy to remember. And so the Christmas party will be extra big every year from now on.
