Amsterdam footballer Jeremie Frimpong will not be in action this season due to an ankle injury. That is extra sour for Frimpong, because he was in the pre-selection of the Orange squad.
Jeremie Frimpong plays in the Bundesliga at Bayer Leverkusen. This weekend he injured his ankle in the game against FC Köln. An operation is now necessary and that is why he will now have to focus on next season.
Amsterdam roots
The footballer was born in Amsterdam. At the age of seven he moved with his parents to Manchester. There he was scouted by Manchester City. He played in the youth academy for two seasons with that club. He did not make the first team. The 21-year-old footballer has now been playing in Germany for more than one year via the Scottish Celtic.
