The Fraeylemaborg is decorated in the Christmas spirit between December 16 and 31.
Several rooms of the deposit are decorated. The great hall, the Red Room, the Day Room, the dining room, the hall, the kitchen, the playroom, the yellow room, boudoir and the bedroom, among others, are decorated with Christmas spirit.
“A setup has been made in the small hall to experience the Christmas of 1931. The Thomassen à Thuessink van der Hoop van Slochteren family has the Christmas tree ready. It is a special year. For the first time, the royal Christmas greetings will be broadcast on the radio,” says one of the volunteers from Fraeylemaborg.
The arrangement in the room is based on archive photos and the family’s memories. This also includes a piano that visitors can play. This year there will be no Christmas market at the Fraeylemaborg Estate.
