Students from the Hanze University of Applied Sciences in Assen, Groningen and Leeuwarden will not have exams and practical lessons until 1:30 PM tomorrow, due to the expected slippery conditions. The exams will be rescheduled at a later date. Drenthe students who wanted to travel to the University of Groningen tomorrow for their exam have also been canceled until 2 p.m.
“We realize that this causes inconvenience, especially with an exam week ahead. However, we do not believe it is responsible to continue on-site education and testing under these circumstances,” Hanze University of Applied Sciences explains. The educational institution indicates that practical lessons will be given again later in the afternoon, when the slipperiness has decreased. Theory lessons will continue to be available all day long, albeit online.
NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences will also keep the doors of its buildings closed in Assen and Emmen until 10.30 am tomorrow morning. Classes start fifteen minutes later.
