Do you remember that nitrogen map, which indicates by what percentage the nitrogen must decrease per area? Well, the county isn’t going to do anything with that map. Except throw it away.
“That map is not a suitable starting point”, responds Henk Jumelet, administrator at the province of Drenthe. The fact that that map goes with the old paper does not mean that the province now goes into holiday and chill mode and grabs a cocktail. “We are definitely going to get started. And we have been that for a long time. We have a nitrogen problem. We have to restore nature.”
