Nissan’s fifth electrified vehicle aimed at increasingly sustainable mobility makes its debut. The new Townstar EV officially enters production after Juke Hybrid, Qashqai e-Power, Ariya and X-Trail e-Power. The heir to the Nissan e-NV200, built on the Cmf-CD shared platform, the same used for the Mercedes Citan, is produced at the Maubeuge plant, in France, marking a new step for the Japanese company within the “Ambition 2030 “. The brand new light commercial vehicle will be available with prices starting from 31,200 euros, excluding VAT and putting on the road.

122 hp engine and 80 kWh power

Powered by a 122 hp electric motor and 245 Nm of torque, Townstar EV can guarantee up to 300 km of autonomy. Powering the whole thing is a 45 kW battery that can be recharged with alternating current, up to 22 kWh, or fast, for a maximum power of 80 kWh and a charge that goes from 15% to 80% in just 37 minutes. . Covered by a pan-European warranty of five years or 160,000 km, in addition to the eight-year or 160,000 km warranty on the battery, the bumper cover, the warranty on the paintwork and roadside assistance.

Townstar EV sports a modern and aerodynamic front compared to the Nissan Ariya and featuring the traditional Kumiko motif. At the rear, the 3.9 cubic meter compartment with swiveling bulkhead stands out and can easily accommodate up to two Europallets and 800 kg in weight. The figure for towing capacity is 1,500 kg.
