Nino F., passenger who was in the car at the time of the carnival drama in Strépy, wants to leave La Louvière | Inland

Paolo F. drove into a group of carnivalists in Strépy-Bracquegnies last Sunday. Six people died, 37 others were injured. Paolo F. stated afterwards that he was driving too fast. The man was also found to be under the influence. Also in the car was his cousin Nino F., who claims he was “slept in the passenger seat” at the time of the tragic incident.

Nino F.’s lawyer says the thirty-something wants to leave La Louvière. “He still lives with his parents and he will make the necessary arrangements to leave La Louvière in the very near future,” Nasredine Benzerfa told RTL. “He hasn’t been able to do that yet because he isn’t able to work at the moment.” Nino F. is currently free. He is accused of not providing aid to those in need.

Also review. These are the fatalities of the drama in Strépy:

Paolo F. was arrested for manslaughter. Paolo F.’s driver’s license was revoked for 24 days already in 2017. He had a hard time with that, as he described in October 2017 on his Facebook profile. “When I see my car keys, I go crazy, I feel like leaving (…), I hate it,” said the driver at the time. The suspect got his driver’s license back after he passed the recovery exams.

The person in his thirties is not legally regarded as a repeat offender. That would have been the case if the violations had occurred within three years of the first violation.
