Counter-Strike team Ninjas in Pajamas has won Group A of the 15th ESL Pro League (EPL). The Swedes were consistently dominant in their group matches and qualified directly for the quarter-finals of the tournament.
For German Counter-Strike fans there was little reason to celebrate in the first week of the new season. The Berlin organization G2 Esports started the tournament with a clear 2-0 victory. Three defeats in a row sealed the end of the group for the Berliners before the last matchday.
The Hamburg team Mouz did not make it into the knockout round of the EPL either. After a defeat at the start of the group, the Hamburgers managed to win 2-0 against G2 on the second day of the game. However, Mouz could not carry the momentum from the victory against the Berlin opponents into the remaining games. After two defeats against Fnatic and NiP, Hamburg’s place in the lower half of the group was already secured before the last game.
