Who qualified for the semi-finals in the second show? For whom, however, was it the end of the line? Who grabbed the direct final ticket on the Endless Ladder to Heaven? sport.de provides the answers!
The showdown at the Endless Ladder to Heaven
In the eighth season of Ninja Warrior Germany, the four best athletes meet at the Endless Ladder to Heaven at the end of each preliminary round show. This isn’t just about winning the day, but in addition to a cash reward of 5,000 euros, it’s also about a direct ticket for the final.
In show number two, Daniel Gerber was the fastest man on the course. In a time of 1 minute and 50 seconds, the 27-year-old conquered, among other things, the mega wall.
However, Gerber and his colleagues Jona Schöne and Leon Wismann had to admit defeat to Tim Wolf on the Endless Ladder to Heaven. This buzzed in an incredible time of 15.97 seconds. This means that Wolf already has a ticket to the final.
Thormann and Konanchuk the best women
Jolina Thormann and Jekaterina Konanchuk were the best women in the second preliminary round show. While the latter ended at the jackpot, Thormann made it to the swing arm. This was the end of the journey due to contact with water.
“I wanted to pull myself up with my feet, but because I landed too far down on the rope, that was no longer possible,” Thormann explained the obstacle with the bungee ropes on the RTL microphone.
For Rita Benker, who like Konanchuk made it to the jackpot, as the third best woman of the evening, it was just not enough to reach the semi-finals.
The obstacles in the Ninja Warrior course
In the second preliminary round show, the ninjas first had to reach the swing boards via the five jump. Afterwards the jackpot went to the fidget spinners. Those who were also able to get past the swing arm (bungee) and the grids had the choice between the wall and the mega wall.
At the end of the preliminary round show, the four best ninjas dueled on the endless ladder to heaven for the day’s victory.
In addition to Wolf, who has already secured his ticket to the final, Daniel Gerber, Jona Schöne, Leon Wismann, Marvin Mitterhuber, Friedrich Krebs, David Eilenstein, Lars Meyer and Nico Köhler all made it to the semi-finals as finishers.
Philipp Hummel, Antonio Mitrugno, Pawel Klopocki, Jolina Thormann and Jekaterina Konanchuk were also able to qualify for the next round.
