The wait is over: Ninja Warrior Germany is starting again. Around 250 athletes aged 16 and over initially compete in six preliminary rounds.

The eighth season has an innovation in store. Instead of the duel course like last year, there is now a round of the endless ladder to heaven at the end of each show. The best ninja can secure the direct final ticket in addition to 5,000 euros.

Who was able to qualify for the semi-finals in the first broadcast? For whom, however, was it the end of the line? Who grabbed the direct final ticket on the Endless Ladder to Heaven? sport.de provides the answers!

  • The showdown at the Endless Ladder to Heaven

In this season of Ninja Warrior Germany, the four best candidates meet at the Endless Ladder to Heaven at the end of each preliminary round show. This isn’t just about winning the day, but in addition to a cash reward of 5,000 euros, it’s also about a direct ticket for the final.

In the first preliminary round, Artur Schreiber, Christian Balkheimer, Sladjan Djulabic and Gary Hines were able to qualify for the test of strength on the endless ladder to heaven. Schreiber had previously achieved the best course time of the quartet with 1 minute and 41 seconds.

The cards were finally reshuffled again at the Endless Ladder to Heaven. In the end, Sladjan Djulabic won due to the fastest time (20.51 seconds) after the 30th rung, although the veteran made a careless mistake and ignored the buzzer. This means Djulabic has secured the final ticket.

  • Emotions among the Leibers, Sibon out, Wurm back

Rainer and Dennis Leiber are now an integral part of Ninja Warrior Germany. Great emotions are guaranteed for the father-son team – including this season. While Dennis reached the buzzer and qualified for the semi-finals, Rainer’s roller coaster was already over, which visibly affected his son.

Astrid Sibon, a former “Last Woman Standing” from the Allstars season, was eliminated in the first episode. “Krasstrid” ended up in the women’s ranking just behind Ada Theilken, who also got to the fidget spinner.

Meanwhile, Alexander Wurm celebrated his comeback at Ninja Warrior Germany. After the three-time “Last Man Standing” took a break last year, he finished on his return and is now in the next round.

  • The obstacles in the Ninja Warrior course

The course is also tough in the eighth season: First, the ninjas had to cross the five jump to get to the roller coaster. Afterwards the jackpot went to the fidget spinners. Those who were also able to leave the swing arm (bungee) and the clockwork behind them had the choice between the wall and the mega wall.

At the end of the preliminary round show, the four best ninjas dueled on the endless ladder to heaven for the day’s victory.

In addition to Djulabic, who has already secured his ticket to the final, Artur Schreiber, Christian Balkheimer, Gary Hines, Viktor Mikhailov, Fabian Scheipner, Jescher Heindl, Dennis Leiber, Daniel Frewer, Alexander Wurm, Ali Moussa, Alina Tornau and Florian Stumpf all made it as finishers to the semifinals. Ada Theilken was also able to qualify for the next round.
