At the end of each episode, the four fastest ninjas compete in a duel course for 5,000 euros in bonus money. In the last encounter, the direct final ticket beckons.

Who was able to qualify for the semi-finals in the last preliminary round show? Who surprised and how did the encounters in the duel course go?

The encounters in the duel course

The trip to Ninja Warrior Germany is now a permanent fixture in the Leiber family’s annual calendar. This year, the father-son team was convincing again. While Rainer made it into the semi-finals in twelfth place, his son Dennis made it to the duel course.

In the encounter with Max Görner, however, Dennis Leiber was left behind. Thus, in the final duel course of the preliminary round, there was a duel between Görner and René Casselly, who had previously prevailed against Jun Kim.

The favorite and defending champion retained the upper hand and thus already has the final ticket secured. He doesn’t even feel completely fit, as Casselly admitted on the RTL microphone. Nevertheless, the 26-year-old is one of the top favourites. After all, Casselly was able to crown himself as the first Ninja Warrior Germany last year.

Last year’s finalists are eliminated

Christian Kirstges and Eric Zekina also felt how tough the course is in the fifth preliminary round.

The two ninja routines were in the grand finale last season. This year, however, she got caught in the preliminary round. Both Kirstges and Zekina were doomed by the glasses path.

With Nico Legat, a son of a football legend also ventured into the course. The 24-year-old had lost an extra twelve kilos for the show and was ultimately eliminated from the triple jump in the ring hunt.

“I’m very dissatisfied and should have prepared better,” said the son of Schalke icon Thorsten Legat about his performance. Nico wants to attack again next year, after all, nothing knocks over a real legate that easily. By the way: father Thorsten can be seen in action on Sunday at the celebrity special.

The obstacles in the course

In the fifth show, the ninjas had to use the arrow jump to get to the climbing boxes. Then it went from the triple jump to the ring hunt to the floating wedges to the swing arm. Anyone who was able to leave the ladder to heaven and the goggles path behind had the choice between the wall and the mega wall.

In the duel course, the jumping kicks were followed by the hand-held Mikado. After that, the ninjas could face the clackers and the springs. Finally, the last reserves of strength had to be mobilized at the fireplace.

Who is in the semifinals?

In addition to René Casselly, who has already secured his final ticket, Max Görner, Dennis Leiber, Jun Kim, Frank Schmidpeter, Karim El-Azzazy, Andi Gaspar, Simon Brunner and Yasin El-Azzazy all made it to the semi-finals as finishers.

In addition, Josef Albani, Philipp Nockemann, Rainer Leiber, Sophie Kessler, Tim Stadelmann, Stefanie Drach, Joel Wieneke and Desirée Godenzi qualified for the next round.
