Ninja Warrior Germany: Casselly delivers the best time

The eighth season of Ninja Warrior Germany is entering the home stretch. The coveted final tickets were awarded in the second semi-final. sport.de looks back on the show.

Around 250 athletes aged 16 and over took part in Ninja Warrior Germany this year, but only the best of the best were able to secure a place in the semi-finals.

In the semi-finals, speed is particularly important. Third place gets 2,500 euros, second place gets 5,000 euros and first place gets 10,000 euros.

The six preliminary round winners are already safely qualified for the grand finale. In addition, the best 30 athletes from the two semi-final shows will secure their place. At least two participants will definitely make it to the final round.

  • Casselly delivers the best time in the semi-finals

The first semi-final already showed how difficult this year’s course is. Only Daniel Gerber (2:49.87) and Jona Schöne (3:23.97) made it to the buzzer. The trend continued in the second semi-final.

René Casselly (02:48.97), Lukas Homann (03:04.75) and Sandro Scheibler (03:55.27) joined three more finishers, the rest went for a swim beforehand. Casselly set the fastest time in the semifinals and moved ahead of his competitors.

“Every ninja is afraid of making mistakes. Especially when you’ve trained so hard, you don’t want to fall out because of a mistake. Every little mistake can be fatal, so I really thought about how I wanted to go through the course.” , revealed the Ninja Warrior Germany from 2021 on the RTL microphone.

Casselly will start in the final as one of the favorites. But the previous season has shown that the competition doesn’t sleep.

However, Max Görner, the reigning last man standing, will be missing. The defending champion was hit by the first obstacle in the semifinals, the chaos cones.

“I just didn’t have my focus on this obstacle. I think I took the third step too far forward and then slipped away,” Görner analyzed afterwards.

“It’s going to continue, I’ll be at the start again next year,” he said, looking to the future again.

Ada Theilken and Viktoria Krämer will decide on the title of Last Woman Standing in the finale.

The former made it to jump bar 2.0 (2nd final position) and qualified as 27th among the top 30 for the final round of Ninja Warrior Germany. Krämer also reached the jump bar 2.0 in her run, but here it was over after the 1st final position.

Alina Tornau, Katharina Blank, Melanie Schmidt and Tatjana Holz made it to the same obstacle, but ultimately narrowly missed the final ticket.
