Nineteen farmers arrested after blockade of Bleiswijk distribution centers | NOW

In the night from Wednesday to Thursday, the police arrested nineteen demonstrating farmers who had blocked distribution centers in Bleiswijk in South Holland. The mayor decided to deploy the riot police after the protesters refused to leave even after a conversation and several requests.

The tractors of the farmers have been moved to another place. The agricultural vehicles can be picked up at a later time.

The group of campaigning farmers blocked the site for the third night in a row, making distribution centers on Facetlaan and Laan van Mathenesse less accessible. It is not known what the arrested persons are suspected of.

A group of farmers will be present on Dam Square in Amsterdam on Thursday morning with tractors. They display there, among other things, signs stating that farmers have “submitted enough already”.
