Nine-euro ticket madness for the Pentecost weekend at stations and on trains!

As expected, a particularly large number of Berliners were drawn to the Baltic Sea and North Sea. The first train on Saturday towards Rostock had to make an unscheduled stop in Kratzeburg (Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania).

According to an announcement by the train driver, a door malfunction had been caused by a passenger. Since the regional train was overcrowded, the staff could not reach the control cabinets, the “Berliner Morgenpost” reported. Hence the Federal Police requested to clear the train if necessary and then continue with half the crew. It only continued after 45 minutes.

On many trains, numerous travelers could not find a seat and stood in the aisles, bicycles could often no longer be taken along.
