Cyclist Nils Eekhoff has been selected for the Tour de France by his team Team DSM – Firmenich. It will be his third Tour for the rider from Rijsenhout. Next Saturday, the most important stage race of the year starts in Bilbao, Spain.
At the beginning of June, Eekhoff rode a strong ZLM Tour. He won the prologue and eventually finished third overall. Furthermore, the selection of Team DSM – Firmenich consists of Romain Bardet, John Degenkolb, Matthew Dinham, Alex Edmondson, Chris Hamilton, Kevin Vermaerke and Sam Welsford.
With the Frenchman Romain Bardet, the cycling team is going for the general classification. Alex Edmondson will be outplayed in the sprint stages.
