Nikolai Valuev has received an invitation letter

A boxing heavyweight legend is wanted for the service of the Russian army.

Boxing giant Nikolai Valuev has received an invitation to serve, reported the Russian media.

Valuyev, 49, confirmed the news to Izvestia newspaper and assured that he is ready to serve his country.

– Of course, I’m going to the recruitment office now, the man reportedly said.

In the ring, Valuyev was known for his ridiculous size and knockout skills. He fought in the professional ring 53 times, of which there were only two losses.

According to The Ring magazine, the Russian, who held the WBA title belt twice, is the tallest (213 cm) and heaviest (140 kg) world champion in heavyweight history.

Valuyev is not the only Russian athlete to receive an invitation letter. On Wednesday, it became clear that the same fate is also ahead of the former national team and Premier League player Dinijar Biljaletdinov.

Nikolai Valuev plans to register at the recruiting office as soon as possible. zumawire/mvphotos.com
