Serbian NBA superstar Nikola Jokic has signed the most lucrative contract in NBA history with his club, the Denver Nuggets.
The total value of the gigantic five-year deal is $264 million. The average salary per season is just under 53 million.
The contract can only be officially confirmed on July 6.
Jokić’s contract was reported by a respected NBA insider Shams Charania.

Jokić has won the NBA’s Most Valuable Player award in the last two seasons. In the season that ended, Jokić averaged a whopping 27.1 points per game.
Last season, Jokić became the first NBA player ever to score at least 2,000 points, grab 1,000 rebounds and dish out 500 assists in a single season.
