Niko Saarinen and Karoliina Tuominen talk about their experience and the Survivors Suomi episodes in the Survivors podcast.
In the new Survivors podcast, Obvious alliances? – episode Niko Saarinen and Karoliina Tuominen covered the first episode of the program. Alliances, scheming and speculation cannot be avoided.
Saarinen and Tuominen participate in Survivors for the second time. Most recently, they participated in the fifth season of the program, which took place in Haaparanta, i.e. Pohjola, due to restrictions. Now they compete in the same Konkar tribe against newcomers on the Malaysian island.
In the two’s conversation, it becomes clear that Malaysia has a different atmosphere than the North.
– In the middle of nowhere. The first time, in such a situation, that kind of help came, Saarinen describes his mood when he arrived on the island.
– Pohjola feels familiar, it’s so different to be elsewhere, Tuominen compares the new season to the previous one.

According to both, the new season of Survivor shows that there are veterans versus newcomers. On the island of Konkarie, there is action right away and alliances are being thought about, while the newcomers have more fun.
– Only life goes to Malaysia, Saarinen laughs.
According to both, there are two strong competitors on the Konkar side: Wallu Valpio and Helmeri Pirinen, who told the most what to do. In the episode, we see how Joalin Loukamaa teams up with Helmer, but says he trusts Wallu.
– You sensed the union between Helmer and Joalin. You sensed it, I didn’t trust it for a second, Saarinen tells Tuominen.
– I knew that you, me and Joal would be a dangerous combo. Let’s make a surprise game move or something. It was a surprise how Wallu saw you as worse than Joalin, who is a bit like my seire. Has captured Wallu. One day can change everything, Saarinen continues thoughtfully.
– Mild despair. It was said that there should be three of them, but I don’t know if any of us believed that. There was absolutely zero credit for Joalin, Tuominen reveals.
In the first episode, the game starts to build. Saarinen and Tuominen also talk about how they sensed the attitude that they wanted to be the first to be voted out.
– Something special has to happen for that threat to recede, Tuominen clarifies.
However, Saarinen reveals his tactics that created uncertainty among competitors. He fed in information that the older contestants would be dropped first. This made Virpi Kätkä nervous.
– I love Virpi, but somehow I wanted to trust, but I absolutely couldn’t. Is Wallu a doll? the duo reflects on the podcast.
– When a person is on the trigger, he is ready to rely on anything, Tuominen emphasizes.
In the episode, therefore, there is no avoiding alliances, considerations of uniting the tribes, or tactics. Saarinen and Tuominen are excitedly waiting for the next episode, because they want to see how the events are presented.
– It was juicy, says Saarinen excitedly about the first episode.
