Nike is suing Lululemon for patent infringement

Nike has filed a lawsuit against Lululemon Athletica Inc., according to Reuters news agency. The case concerns the infringement of six Nike patents through the manufacture and sale of the Mirror Home Gym and related apps by Lululemon.

The case revolves around the technology, among other things, that enables users to achieve a certain level of exertion while competing with other users and recording their own performance. Lululemon responded in a statement to Reuters that Nike’s patents were “very broad and invalid”.

The company says it is convinced of its position and is ready to defend it in court.
